Summer Where Art Thou?

This might be a little bit early considering we are still in January, but I was browsing Topshop today and saw their new Swedish Summer collection and fell completely head-over-heels in love with everything! I became so inspired and thirsty for summer to come so I can wear crochet tops, high-waisted suede shorts, and flowers in my hair. What I really loved about the collection was not only the distinct 1960's 1970's inspired silhouettes, but also the influence of traditional Swedish attire which can be seen in the designs and colours (look at the blue dress above). Down below is a collage I made containing pictures from Woodstock, Almost Famous (one of my all time favourite movies), and of traditional Swedish dresses. I want summer to come as soon as possible, but for now I will sulk in the -30 degree Canadian weather, bundled up in wool sweaters and sipping on my chamomile tea, pretending it's white sangria...*sigh*.

Antik Batik & Yasmin

This is just a random picture I took the other day of one of my favorite headbands from Antik Batik. I regret not taking a picture of what I wore to school that day....but try to picture this: Burberry black riding boots, DKNY stockings, Club Monaco high-waisted wool camel shorts, Club Monaco cashmere black t-shirt, Club Monaco cashmere huge black throw, green H&M parka, this fur collar above, Banana Republic big wool scarf wrapped over, and a long tan leather bag with gold detail hardware. I also had a lot of bracelets and rings on...and this headband! Perhaps I'll redo this outfit just to show you guys :)

And here is my new obsession "On My Own" - Yasmin, I can't stop listening to it....she has incredible style and she's just absolutely gorgeous too! Enjoy and have a great Saturday!

Playing Dress-Up

Before school today I decided to play a little dress-up and take some pictures of one of my favourite going out outfits to share with all of you! I'm wearing a H&M tight black basic dress, a vintage sequined top from Paris (I've done a post on this top before), DKNY tights, and Topshop wedges. Hope you like it :)

Black Lace

Obsessed with my new black lace top from H&M; it's such a good going out top! It doesn't show in the picture but I was wearing bright blue nailpolish (blue and black is my alllllll timeee favorite combination!). Today I have my art history class and I plan on hitting the gym for a nice jog in hopes of getting rid of the chocolate and pizza I ate yesterday, then I will take outfit pictures (don't worry I plan on showering after the jog). New Music...Old Style

Again....excuse me for my blogging absence, I've basically had the week from hell with going back to school, working, AND doing my applications for my Masters (I'm applying to Parsons and Central St. Martins) and it's beyond stressful. Tomorrow is my only day off so I plan on blogging properly....but for now here is Lykke Li's new single that my friend just sent me! I think it's obvious at this point the love I have for Lykke Li since I've posted practically every song she's ever made.

New Purchases: Week in January

Bought some amazing things this week!

FINALLY bought Touche Eclat by YSL and it was worth every penny!
Also bought myself the perfect deep wine red nail polish by Chanel called Rouge Fatal

Got a really cute bow to put in my hair when it's half up from American Apparel! Reminds me of my friend in Lebanon who I miss so so so much (she wears bows almost every day).

A body conscious H&M dress....yes simple but the color is so amazing...it's like a clay color...a mix of brown and red. Amazing!

Finally, the new love in my life: a hand knit wool men's sweater from Club Monaco...yes a men's sweater...had to get an extra small for it to fit me.

Bringing in 2011

Hi everyone! Excuse me for my blogging absence, I've had a hectic week of working and partying celebrating the end of an amazing year and bringing in a start of a whole new one! I don't have any outfits to share just yet unfortunately, but soon I promise! For now I'm just getting myself prepared for my last semester of school (crazy!!) which starts tomorrow. I've got my Moleskine and Kate Spade notebooks ready to be used and my new and amazing black Lamy fountain pen with purple ink, so now it's time to get into the mindset of studying my but off.

What are my goals and wishes for 2011?
- Get my butt into shape...starting tomorrow I'm joining spinning classes with a few friends
- Travel to Italy for 1-2 months
- Move to a new city...sounds ambitious, but I'm graduating this semester and even though I love Montreal it's time to start a new chapter in my life. Thinking of either New York City or London or Paris
-Volunteer
- Say 'yes' to as many opportunities that come my way as possible...living life to the fullest!!
