Dear Santa...

So Christmas is just around the corner and I am beyond ecstatic...everyone's decorations are up and Montreal has lighted up into one huge Christmas candy cane land. I added some photographs down below of Montreal/Quebec City during Christmas time and yes it's gorgeous, but my biggest Christmas wish is to spend one year during this holiday in Germany which is basically the mecca of all things Christmas. Until that time comes...I thankfully get a little taste of a German Christmas every year when my Mom (who's Swedish/German) makes around 20 loaves of Bavarian nut Christmas stollen. Yum!

Anyways, enough of my ranting on Germany, stollen, and just how amazing Christmas is and let me get to the point of this post: the things I want Santa to bring me this Christmas (obviously the most IMPORTANT thing that matters in life...right?! right?!....yaa). I've made a list down below of the ideal gifts....however, it ain't gonna happen so all a girl can do is dream *sigh*.

In the meantime, enjoy this song called The Christmas Waltz by the lovely She & Him:

1. How cute are those little sequinned birds on this Topshop jumper? Super cute!

2. I am legit DYING to get my hands on these Austrian hiking boots, I've fallen in love with them. I've been searching for the perfect pair of ankle hiking boots and these have it all. They are feminine yet have the perfect amount of ruggedness to them and the knit in the front makes it so European wilderness looking.

3. She & Him Christmas album. That is all. Oh and Zooey Deschanel is my idol :)

4. An iced whale ornament! Genius!

5. An iced fish ornament! Again....genius!

6. This bike is everything I've always wanted in a bike. It's by Bowery Lane Bicycles, a New York City company that hand-makes their bicycles. Famous for its vintage Dutch aesthetic, these bikes come in black or white, leather seats, and a handcrafted wooden box in the back which is perfect when one is doing groceries in the city...or to put ones dog.

7. The iPhone because it's the iPhone and the phone I'm using right now doesn't even work so this would be helpful/useful.

8. I have a love for anything that has to do with high-end stationary and pens so these cute little international cards made me so giddy. Each card has a different drawing of a global stylish girl. An Italian saying "Ciao!", a Parisienne saying "Bonjour!", and a Londoner saying "Hello!". The illustrations and the cream coloured cards make me just so happy!

9. I've had my eye on this Kate Spade bow ring in silver for so long. What I love so much about it that you can't see by the photograph provided is just how big it is! The size is what makes it so special and I love the textured lines in the folded ribbon area.

10. Last but not least this casual every day Zadig & Voltaire parka in grey with a fur collar. It's pretty simple but the color is what caught my eye...and the fur. But it's rare to find a stylish light grey short puffer jacket and especially with fur, usually I'll see something like this in black, navy, or charcoal grey.

A Little Glimpse of New York

Hi all! I've been incredibly busy here in New York City, I'm having quite an adventure! I got a job as a hostess at a concert venue in SoHo, I have friends who are constantly coming in and out of the city, and I've been going down to the Jersey Shore/Pennsylvania/Hamptons every second I can to see family and friends. Trust me, the Jersey Shore I'm talking about is NOT the Jersey Shore you're probably thinking of (the show). I'm however talking about clean, beautiful beaches with normal looking people and amazing food aka Surf Taco.

Also....I need to share something VERY exciting with you. Around two weeks ago I was walking on a small street off of Broadway downtown near where I live when I see this handsome man walking towards me in the opposite direction. I glance up at him look down and then quickly look back up realizing it's Daniel Craig aka James Bond!!!! It was just me and him on the street and he looked at me realizing I was in shock and then slowed down, winked and smiled at me!!! My heart melted....

I thought I would share some pictures of my time here in the USA :). I'm also going to do another post of some small things I'm loving here in New York City....whether that be areas of NYC, food, fashion, activities, bars, etc.

Bringing in 2011

Hi everyone! Excuse me for my blogging absence, I've had a hectic week of working and partying celebrating the end of an amazing year and bringing in a start of a whole new one! I don't have any outfits to share just yet unfortunately, but soon I promise! For now I'm just getting myself prepared for my last semester of school (crazy!!) which starts tomorrow. I've got my Moleskine and Kate Spade notebooks ready to be used and my new and amazing black Lamy fountain pen with purple ink, so now it's time to get into the mindset of studying my but off.

What are my goals and wishes for 2011?
- Get my butt into shape...starting tomorrow I'm joining spinning classes with a few friends
- Travel to Italy for 1-2 months
- Move to a new city...sounds ambitious, but I'm graduating this semester and even though I love Montreal it's time to start a new chapter in my life. Thinking of either New York City or London or Paris
-Volunteer
- Say 'yes' to as many opportunities that come my way as possible...living life to the fullest!!

What are your goals/dreams of 2011?!

Here is a song that I have been listening to NON-STOP for a few days now. The song sounds even better loud, so put up the volume as much as you can. Hope you enjoy it! And I also hope that you all enjoyed a fun filled weekend, I wish happiness and love for all of you in 2011 :)

So here are some pictures taken of what I was wearing on Christmas yesterday....very simple, but classic. I wore my favorite dress that I bought at Zara in Amsterdam (fits me like a glove), Wolford stockings, Zara heels from years and years ago, and my new antique looking bracelet I got for Christmas from Club Monaco...I am in LOVE! I was also wearing my YSL bright pink lipstick to bring some color because I tend to wear a lot of black. I added some pictures of our Christmas tree and some Christmas decorations around the house...my Mom did a good job!

I'm completely exhausted though, so many people came over yesterday and then I worked all day today. It's Boxing Day in Canada, which means that there are crazy sales in every store...it's basically the equivalent of Black Friday in the States. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Call me crazy, but since I am 21 years old I feel like I should be doing something to prevent the wrinkles I'll be receiving later on in life so this week I stopped by Kiehl's and bought myself their avocado eye cream...just a little something to nourish the skin around my eyes! I've been using it for the last 3 days and LOVE it!

Love these pretty little door knobs from Zara!

This has nothing to do with new purchases, but since Christmas is next week I thought I would share with you the view outside of my bedroom window...my mum hung small wreaths with red ribbons outside of every window in our house. I'm convinced she is Martha Stewart's long lost twin sister.

3. Repetto black flats
4. Michael Kors watch....not sure yet if I want gold or the gold with tortoise

Halloween

This is the first time in a while (since I was probably 10 years old) that I am actually excited for Halloween! Usually I'm not that into it...I'll just watch Alfred Hitchcock movies and eat too much candy corn to the point where I make myself sick. Well this year will be different! I'm going to a loft party in the Plateau area of Montreal with a couple of my friends. I was originally going to be Hannah Montana high on coke...I thought it would be funny, you know...go to Walmart buy gross sparkly teen clothes, with a blond wig, a microphone, and to top it all off flour smeared around my nose. But then I didn't feel like buying a whole new outfit that I would never wear again so my friend was like "Hey how about you be Lindsay Lohan high on coke you wear your own clothes and just buy the blond wig!"....that sounded like a brilliant idea....until today when I was thinking "Hhmmm I think I'm just going to end up looking like a crack whore instead of Lindsay Lohan". So nowwww after everything I'm going to be a "chic" witch....what is a "chic" witch you might ask? Well all I bought was a really nice black witches hat and a witches broom and then I'm going to wear my own black clothes. I'm thinking my black Burberry boots, black nylon American Apparel leggings, and then this insanely gorgeous light, long sleeved, v-neck sweater that have very small shoulder pads with sequins and beads just on the shoulders....crazinesss! I'll wear my hair curly too instead of straight...might look more witch-like. Anyway that's my Halloween costume...cannot wait! What are you guys dressing up as?

Happy Halloween!
