Videos: Ralph Lauren

I sound cheesy and overdramatic when I say this, but Ralph Lauren isn't merely a brand but a whole lifestyle, a dream, a luxurious fantasy that I personally strive to be a part of one day. Ralph Lauren is the epitome of class and elegance, in other words he is GOD, and it is shown through his collection videos that I keep watching over and over again:

American Vintage

My friend Tanya from Beirut and I are obsessed with this brand that we discovered in Paris together. Everything is so simple with amazing cuts and materials that make you want to lounge around all day. Seriously the perfect clothes for school! Unfortunately, they do not have many stores and most of them are in Europe, however they are soon going to be shipping online internationally!!

The Paris Magazine

While I was in Paris in the beginning of July with my brother we decided to visit the famous bookstore Shakespeare & Co. on Rue de la Bucherie with Notre Dame in clear view across La Seine. The bookstore is completely magical bringing you into this old world filled with thousands upon thousands of books new and old. For the hour that my brother and I spent in there I felt like I was on the set of Harry Potter; books are shoved everywhere from floor to ceiling and there are tiny pathways leading you into different rooms and levels. Even if you are not into literature, it is such a beautiful and historic store that cannot be missed while in Paris. On the second floor there were hundreds of beautiful, old, antique books and I was planning on buying a couple when I was unfortunately informed that they were not for sale. Devastated, I instead bought a beautiful edition of Orwell's 1984 and a book called The Paris Magazine, which is published by Shakespeare & Co. and is only available at Shakespeare & Co. It is a compilation of short stories and poems written by Parisians; some are originally written in English and others are translated from French to English.

Love Me or Leave Me

Such a beautiful editorial spread!

Burberry Prorsum SS '11

Seriously Burberry Prorsum has always been my top three, always looking forward to this show come fashion week. Never disappoints!

Ummm those studded jackets and trenches paired with leather leggings?! Amazing.

But I will admit that the one model they had who closed the show was just awful. However, this might sound random but I love this one little detail Burberry does which is tuck the models back hair underneath the coats...such a cool look.

Marc by Marc Jacobs for Moleskine

Like every morning, I woke up made myself a cup of tea (today it was caramel) and opened my laptop to go on my favorite blogs and websites to only find out THE most exciting news, which is that Marc by Marc Jacobs will have a special limited edition Moleskine Notebook!!! Best news I have heard in a long time, I am so so so excited!! It is available starting October 1st, exclusively at Bloomingdales and Co-op stores...but for those of you Moleskine/Marc Jacobs fans who need to have this but do not live in close proximity to one of the above stores (like me), you are thankfully able to purchase it on Bloomingdales' website!

Friends Look: Tessy

I asked my best friend Tessy to create a look, she chose everything laid out below and I put it together using Photoshop. I just bought Photoshop today and I am so excited it's so much fun to use! Hopefully my posts from now on will be a little bit more "professional" looking. I am still a bit rusty with Photoshop, but eventually I'll get the hang of it. I also want to start a new section in my blog with styles that my friends/readers have chosen but that I have put together on this blog, so if any of you readers out there want to volunteer and send me some of your favorite items of the moment, please do so!

1. Pamela Love Small Crow Skull Necklace in Silver 2. Mink Pink Top 3. Topshop ANDI Clog Stirrup Ankle Boots 4. Chanel Khaki Vert Nail Polish 5. Helmut Lang Blazer 6. Low Luv x Erin Wasson Ring 7. Pamela Love Sterling Silver Eagle Claw Necklace 8. IRO Mishga Pants

My Dream Home In A Nutshell

This is hands down the most mystical and romantic home I have ever seen in my life...makes me want to wear head-to-toe white cashmere pajamas with crystals dripping off my wrists and curl up on that Montauk-like white sofa with a mug of Jasmine tea while reading Bronte's Wuthering Heights. The grass outside would be dewy and there would be a beautiful smell of lavender in the air while birds and fawns would be visible through the Victorian styled window. I sound a tad psycho, but it's an actual fairy tail come to life for me (sigh).
